When in Doubt…
In the name of God,
Drink more hot water.
Or in Mandarin: Duō Hē Rè Shuǐ (多喝热水)
This is a famous ancient wisdom that has significantly sped up my recovery of an illness that befell me.
What I find interesting is how “Rè” means hot and not warm.
Today, very few people can drink hot water and this can actually have an adverse effect if your body is not attuned to it.
We can assume, however, that our ancestors were much stronger than us, more mature both mentally and physically and hence able to drink hot and not warm water.
Please be cautious.
To the point, there are 3 key benefits of drinking warm water:
Helps with digestion
Relieves congestion
Improves circulation
The more profound point, is energy transfer.
Hot and warm water stores a lot of kinetic energy which gives rise to heat.
When you consume hot or warm water, this kinetic energy is transferred to your body.
Kinetic energy is just atoms vibrating (also known as movement energy)
Atoms that vibrate spread, like so:
One atom vibrating hits another which vibrates and passes its energy onto the next atom … and so on.
When you drink hot or warm — this kinetic energy is now stored in your body, accelerating your organs functions to aid with digestion, congestion and circulation.
Ancient wisdom should never be regarded as hearsay but we should always be open to extract truths from it.
